DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – St. Luke’s in Duluth is now contacting patients who are 75 and older to schedule COVID-19 vaccinations.
Since supplies are limited, vaccines are being prioritized based on guidance from the Center for Disease Control and the Minnesota Department of Health.
Age is a major risk factor from complications from COVID and St. Luke’s is now focusing on those 75 plus to set up appointments.
There are about 8 thousand people in that group and patients are being contacted from a randomized list to fairly distribute the vaccine.
St. Luke’s has about 400 appointment slots per day and will move on to those 65 and up after the current group is completed.
St. Luke’s patients in Wisconsin are also eligible and will be called and offered vaccine appointments at the hospital Vaccination Clinic.
