Here are a few more good news stories making the rounds . . .
1. A doctor in California rewrote the lyrics to the song “My Shot” from “Hamilton” to encourage people to get the vaccine. And a half-dozen other doctors helped make a full music video. Now it’s blowing up on YouTube. (Here’s the video.)
2. In case you missed it last week, a teacher in New York who almost died of Covid at the start of the pandemic went back to the hospital that treated him. And he got to see all the doctors and nurses who saved his life.
His name is Tyrone John, and he’s only 39. He was the first Covid patient they had to intubate, and he was in a coma for three weeks. But then he recovered, and became their first critically ill patient to beat the virus and go home.
3. A janitor at a high school in Alabama recently got surprised with a free SUV. His car died a while back, and he’d been walking to work. Then a teacher who got a new car found out about it, and gave him her old Toyota Highlander.
4. A woman in Canada was walking her dog last week when she had a seizure. And the dog intentionally blocked traffic until someone stopped to help. If you don’t believe it, a security camera got it on video. Luckily the woman’s okay.
