This week on The WEVE Morning Show, our Artist of the Week was The Verve Pipe! This band was formed in the 1990’s in Michigan, and they’ve been rocking ever since, with album releases as recent as last year and several very popular songs on Spotify!
The Verve Pipe have released seven albums, two EPs, and two “family albums”. The hit you hear most frequently on WEVE is “The Freshman” which was a hit single off their 1996 release “Villains”. The band that has a hit single will usually have other gems behind their hits, so I spent this week trying to find the diamonds in the rough from The Verve Pipe’s catalog, and I loved what I found, adding quite a few songs to my personal collection of music, dating all the way back to their debut EP “I’ve Suffered A Head Injury”, released in 1992.
Here is a YouTube playlist of the songs we shared on The WEVE Morning Show this week from The Verve Pipe. Check it out, and listen to 97.9 WEVE weekday mornings around 8:20 to see who our next artist of the week is.
