HAYWARD, WI (KDAL) – Thousands of participants and spectators are in northwest Wisconsin this week for the American Birkebeiner and associated races.
Events got underway for the 49th anniversary on Wednesday and races of varying distances are held Friday.
The 55 kilometer Birkie will be on Saturday morning starting in Cable and finishing in downtown Hayward.
