BALKIN TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – First responders from St. Louis County and Chisholm responded to reports of an ATV crash on a trail in Balkin Township Saturday afternoon.
The side-by-side ATV apparently rolled over and threw the driver and passenger from the machine.
The driver, a 29 year old from Chisholm, was injured and taken to a hospital in Hibbing.
The passenger, identified as 31 year old Kevin Jamnick from Hibbing, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say neither man was wearing a seatbelt or helmet.
