DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Health has posted four Lake Superior beaches with Water Contact Advisories on Thursday.
Burlington Bay beach in Two Harbors, the Lakewalk beach below Lake Place Park, the Lakewalk 16th Avenue East beach and the Lafayette Community Club beach in Duluth, all tested with elevated E. coli bacteria levels.
That indicates the possible presence of fecal contamination and prompted the advisories.
The beaches are re-sampled on a regular schedule and updated alerts and more information can be found online at MNBeaches.org
