SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Crews remained on the scene into Tuesday morning after a fire at the Superior & Sage Hotel, about a block off the Blatnik Bridge in Superior.
The fire was reported at 11:04 p-m Monday and flames could be seen coming from the roof of the structure at 525 Hammond Avenue.
The Superior Fire Department requested mutual aid from Duluth to provide additional equipment to fight the fire.
According to Northern News Now, about 20 displaced guests were taken in by the nearby Best Western Bridgeview.
One occupant got medical attention from a Mayo Ambulance crew but no other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated and damage was estimated at a million dollars.
