UNDATED (CBS) – The Powerball drawing scheduled for Monday night was delayed and it’s likely that the official results won’t be known until sometime Tuesday morning.
The Multi-State Lottery Association says the world record-breaking $1.9 billion Powerball drawing was held up because a participating state lottery needed more time to process its sales. The state having the issues wasn’t named.
Lottery officials say that Powerball requires all 48 participating lotteries to submit their sales and play data prior to the winning numbers being selected.
The drawing will proceed once they receive the outstanding submission.
Powerball is played in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
UPDATE: The numbers drawn on Tuesday morning are 10, 33, 41, 47, 56 and the Powerball was 10.
