TOFTE, MN (KDAL) – An investigation is ongoing into a crash Tuesday night in Cook County that left one person dead and another injured.
According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Department, first responders were called to the one vehicle traffic accident in the Tofte area around 8:30 p-m.
The victim, identified as Douglas Paul Junker of Edina, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Joanne Marie Bergstadt also from Edina was taken to a Duluth hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Further details regarding the crash have not been released at this time.
