DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for most of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin for Wednesday night into Thursday.
Temperatures will drop through the day on Wednesday to around zero by afternoon and 11 below zero by early Thursday morning.
Strong northwest winds gusting to 30 miles per hour will create wind chill values in the 30 below to near 40 below range.
The winds will also be responsible for lake effect snow along the south shore of Lake Superior.
Bayfield and Ashland Counties have Winter Weather Advisories posted for 3 to 6 inches of snow while Iron County is under a Winter Storm Warning for 6 to 12 inches by Thursday.
