DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Carlton and southern St. Louis Counties from Tuesday afternoon through 9 a-m on Wednesday.
Six to eleven inches of snow will make travel difficult and likely will affect the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Winds are expected to gust up to 30 miles per hour Tuesday night.
At this time it is believed that areas along the I-35 corridor from Cloquet to Pine City will see the heaviest snow while it appears that Duluth is in line for slightly lesser amounts.
A slight chance of freezing drizzle could precede the snow Tuesday afternoon.
Another chance of snow Thursday night and Friday will be followed be very cold temperatures. A high of about 10 on Friday will drop to 15 to 20 below by Saturday morning with a high temperature of only zero on Saturday.
