DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – In the coming weeks, the City of Duluth will begin implementing changes to on-street parking.
The current coin operated parking meters will be going away and be replaced by digital payments via the Park Duluth app.
The parking rate will also increase from $1.50 per hour up to $2.00 per hour.
Motorists can still used the coin operated meters until they are removed.
Once Park Duluth signage is in place, motorists will need to pay electronically using one of three payment options: the Park Duluth app, by QR code or by text to park.
In zone locations where a payment kiosk is available, cash will still be accepted.
The change will be implemented one parking zone at a time and should be complete by later in the spring.
