MINONG, WI (KDAL) – A collision between an SUV and a semi truck in Minong Wednesday morning has left one person dead and another critically injured.
Minong Police say the crash occurred at the intersection of State Highway 77 and Highway 53.
The SUV was traveling north on Highway 53 when it attempted a turn onto Highway 77 and was hit by the southbound semi truck.
The two people in the SUV had to be extricated by emergency crews.
The passenger, a 16 year old boy, died on the way to a hospital and, at last report, the driver remains in critical condition at a Duluth hospital.
