DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Winter weather is continuing into the Easter weekend as Winter Storm and Ice Storm Warnings are posted for parts of the Northland Friday night into early Sunday morning.
Following a wintery mix of snow and freezing rain that left around six inches of wet snow covering the Twin Ports Thursday and Thursday night another, stronger winter storm is on the way.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for northeast Minnesota from 4 p-m Friday to 1 a-m Sunday for heavy mixed precipitation totaling another 4 to 6 inches of snow and strong northeast winds.
In northwest Wisconsin, an Ice Storm Warning is in effect from 4 p-m Friday to 10 a-m on Saturday for significant icing.
Roads across the area will see sleet and accumulating slushy snow making for hazardous travel.
