SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The Western Lake Superior Trolling Association, the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) and the Douglas County Veterans Service Office are hosting the annual Vets On The Lake fishing event on Saturday.
The goal is to get about 120 veterans out for a day of fishing on Lake Superior followed by a fish fry on Barker’s Island.
At last report, there are a few spots left, if you are a Wisconsin Veteran interested in fishing, call the Douglas County Vets office at 715-395-1331 to get on the list and Minnesota vets can call Mac-V at 218-722-8763.
The boats leave at 6 a-m Saturday from the Barker’s Island Charter Dock in Superior.
