GILBERT, MN (Northern News Now) – The Gilbert Police Department has confirmed, 26-year-old Tia Muller of Chisolm has died from injuries she sustained in an ATV crash Friday night.
Police responded to an ATV accident at the Iron Range Off-highway Vehicle State Recreation area, where they found Muller pinned under an ATV.
Muller had passed away from her injuries.
The 25-year-old driver was identified as Johnathan Muller, also of Chisolm, who was airlifted to Essentia Health in Duluth with serious injuries.
Gilbert Police say they believe the crash likely happened on Friday, and the victims were not found until Saturday by other ATVers.
The Friends of the Northland Firewire say Tia Muller was a member of the Cherry Fire Department.
