UNDATED (KDAL) – Ceremonies will be held in Duluth and Superior on Tuesday to honor all who served in the military.
Veterans Day events will be held at the Great Hall of the Depot in Duluth at 11 a-m and features patriotic music from the Spirit Valley Drum and Bugle Corps and the Superior Senior High School choir.
Guest speaker is Bob Stephens, a ten year U-S Navy vet and member of the American Legion Hall Post 71. The Duluth Honor Guard will close out the ceremony and a light lunch will be provided by the Duluth Women of Today.
In Superior, UWS will host a Veterans Day ceremony in the atrium of the Yellowjacket Union from 11 a-m to 1 p-m.
The event features the presentation of the colors, the national anthem and presentation of the Henry Blomberg Excellence in Service Award.
Blomberg was born is Superior, attended what was then the Superior Normal School and joined the National Guard after graduation. During service in France during World War One he was seriously wounded and posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
