DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – On Monday evening, Duluth Police were called to the report of fight at the 5300 Bristol Street Super One store.
Police arrived to find two people detained by the store’s loss prevention officer.
The incident began when the store employee confronted a 22 year old man and 15 year old juvenile male who had stolen an item from the store.
During the physical altercation that ensued, the man threatened the loss prevention officer with a bat and the officer then deployed a chemical irritant.
The people involved in the fight sustained minor injuries.
The man was arrested for 2nd degree assault and the juvenile was issued a citation for shoplifting and 5th degree assault.
