NORTHSTAR TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – A snowmobile crash Saturday afternoon in Northstar Township has seriously injured a Duluth area woman.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office the 37 year old woman was a passenger on the snowmobile that crashed on a sharp corner of a state snowmobile trail.
She was transported by a medical sled a considerable distance to Highway 44 where a Life Link helicopter took her to a Duluth hospital.
The highway was closed for over an hour during the medical response.
The driver of the snowmobile was not injured.
