This week on The WEVE Morning Show, our Artist of the Week was Pat Benatar! I was first introduced to her music as a young child, with “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” being one of many classic rock songs I heard. Other hits such as “We Belong”, “Love Is A Battlefield” and “Invincible” followed. Pat’s voice is amazing, and it shows in her music!
Benatar has released 12 albums, the most recent one releasing in 2003. The hits you’ve heard on WEVE are likely the songs I mentioned above, and they are so fun to sing along to! Especially “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” which is a crowd favorite when I DJ at weddings! Her other songs are bangers too, and I was thrilled to find some more bangers this week!
The music is best described as classic rock at it’s finest! There is so much packed into Benatar’s music it’s amazing!
